Whispered
Art History
Back in 1963,
Robert Filliou published his lecture “Whispered Art History” ( histoire
chuchotée de l’art ), which was Art’s first birthday present. And, since then,
ART’S BIRTHDAY parties are being organised across the world each year on the 17th
of January.
On 17 January 2010, the M HKA (the Museum of Contemporary Art in Antwerp) again celebrated ART’S BIRTHDAY in Antwerp (Listen)
At the museum
Ward Weis performed Filliou’s HISTOIRE
CHUCHOTÉE DE L'ART throughout
that day in a landscape comprising myriads of microphones and loudspeakers.
